The University of North Carolina football program picked up its sixth victory of the season on Saturday night, and became bowl eligible in the process. It’s the first time in three seasons that the Tar Heels will participate in a bowl game, and that the win came against one of their most hated rivals, the NC State Wolfpack, made it all that more special.
In the 41-10 thumping, UNC put on an offensive display against the NC State defense that fans in Raleigh will want to soon forget. After trailing the Wolfpack 10-6 at halftime, the Tar Heels came out of the intermission and scored 35 unanswered points.
