Mack Brown and his coaching staff still have their sights set on four-star outside linebacker Trenton Simpson for their 2020 recruiting class. Simpson is a Top 33 player in the 247 Sports recruiting class and one of the top players left uncommitted as we head into the early signing period in December.
Simpson originally committed to Auburn over the Tar Heels in the Summer before decommitting in October. When he reopened his commitment, right away the Tar Heels were labeled as a favorite.
