UNC Football: Four-star LB Malaki Hamrick commits to Tar Heels

Despite racking up 15 in-state recruits in the 2021 class, UNC had not received a verbal pledge from a North Carolina recruit for the 2022 cycle. That changed on Friday afternoon when outside linebacker Malaki Hamrick committed to the Heels. He made the announcement during a ceremony at his school.

Without a fall season, highlights and game tape are limited for the junior. Regardless, all three recruiting services are currently impressed. A consensus four-star recruit, Hamrick is currently considered a top-10 prospect in the state. His current rankings should excite Tar Heel fans.
