The second stint for the XFL is coming in 2020 as the league looks to provide an alternate to the NFL. With the league set to launch early in 2020, they are prepping with the first Draft for the upcoming season.
The first XFL Draft for the new league began on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. EST and was held through conference call with the results posted via Twitter. It will run through Wednesday and then preparation for the new league will officially begin for teams.
Among the hundreds of players in the first draft pool were a few former Tar Heels, three on offense and one on defense, as they are hoping for a second chance at the game of football.
