After missing out on 4-star class of 2020 prospect Tonka Hemingway on Thursday afternoon, Mack Brown and the North Carolina Tar Heels secured a commitment from another 4-star recruit in the class.
Ja’Qurious Conley, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound senior at Northside High School, announced his decision to attend the University of North Carolina next fall, giving the Tar Heels their seventh 4-star pledge in the 2020 class. The Tar Heels are currently ranked No. 17 in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings, but will likely move up thanks to the Conley commitment.
Just prior to his commitment, Conley’s Crystal Ball was trending toward North Carolina, gaining multiple votes for the Tar Heels from South Carolina insiders.
