UNC finishes fourth in Learfield Directors’ Cup

Thursday saw the release of the rankings for the 2024-25 Learfield Directors’ Cup. The award is given to the athletic program that had the best overall sporting year based on their finishes across all NCAA sports.

North Carolina have typically done pretty well in the Directors’ Cup over the year, and this continued this time, as they finished fourth overall in Division I for 2024-25.

Led by national championships in women’s soccer and women’s lacrosse, UNC finished with 1195.25 points, just over 50 back of third placed Stanford. This year’s winners of the Directors’ Cup were Texas at 1255.
