AUBURN, Ala. - Aranza Vazquez and Emily Grund placed first and second in the women's 1-meter diving event, while Anton Down-Jenkins earned runner-up honors in both the men's 1- and 3-meter events to highlight North Carolina's efforts through two days of competition at the Auburn Invitational.
Vazquez, in her first collegiate event, recorded the top score of the day with a 322.40 total in the 1-meter. That figure is the third best in Tar Heel diving history.
Down-Jenkins' totals of 398.90 in the 1-meter and 435.90 in the 3-meter events are both good for the third best results in program history.
