CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Student-athlete standouts from the Class of 2022 were recognized and honored as UNC held its Academic Awards Luncheon on April 28, returning to an in-person event the first time since 2019.
At the George Watts Hill Alumni Center, the event honored student-athletes who have excelled academically over the past year, with the announcement of this year's Top 10 Scholar-Athletes as the headline. The annual award goes to the five men and five women with the highest cumulative grade point averages among all graduating student-athletes.

As the highlight of the program, each student-athlete honoree spoke about his or her Carolina experience, offering a few words of advice for younger student-athletes and also recognizing an impactful UNC faculty or staff member.
