Among the many things that were revealed in the Bubba Cunningham announcement this week was the key detail that even though he won’t be running the day-to-day operations of the athletic department after next summer, he WILL be staying at UNC until 2029. It was a curious clause because if people thought that UNC and Cunningham were ready to move on from each other, the cord would have just been cut entirely.
It turns out that there may be a pretty good reason to keep him around until that year.
On Thursday, Matt Baker of The Athletic revealed the 68 page legal settlement the ACC reached with Florida State and Clemson.
