The North Carolina Tar Heels have made the cut with another elite player in the class of 2020, as top-30 prospect Dawson Garcia included UNC among the seven finalists that he named on Tuesday afternoon.
Along with the Tar Heels, Garcia named Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, Marquette, Memphis and Minnesota as the programs that he’ll be moving forward with in his recruitment. Garcia made the announcement via his personal Twitter account.
A 6-foot-11-inch, 220-pound center out of Prior Lake, Minnesota, Garcia was holding more than 20 scholarship offers including ones from Baylor, Maryland, Oregon, Purdue, Texas, Texas Tech, Wisconsin and Xavier.
