By now you’ve probably already heard the news that five-star center Armando Bacot has verbally committed to North Carolina. The verbal gives Roy Williams a big recruit in his 2019 class and the first five-star front court player since Tony Bradley in 2015.
Williams was able to land Bacot by putting the full-court press on him. The head coach and his staff watched Bacot numerous times during the open evaluation periods and visited his as well.
The verbal from Bacot is the second for the Tar Heels in the 2019 class with point guard Jeremiah Francis being the first back in August of 2017.
