UNC Basketball: Tar Heels lose big to No. 2 Gonzaga Bulldogs

Gonzaga’s Corey Kispert tallied a game-high 26 points on a terrific 10-for-12 shooting performance, including a 5-of-6 mark from beyond the three-point line, and the Bulldogs beat the struggling Tar Heels 94-81 in Spokane on Wednesday night.

Sophomore power forward Filip Petrusev added 20 points for Gonzaga, while three Bulldogs — Joel Ayayi, Ryan Woolridge and Drew Timme — each scored 11. Ayayi hauled in a game-high 10 rebounds, while Woolridge led all players with nine assists. Gonzaga shot nearly 60 percent for the game, and 50 percent from long-range. The Bulldogs dished out 18 assists on 35 made baskets, and only lost the rebounding battle by five.
