On Thursday night, junior power forward Brandon Huffman announced his intent to enter the NCAA transfer portal. Upon doing so, the Tar Heels will have an open scholarship for the 2020-21 season. The sudden turn of events immediately got North Carolina fans salivating at the opportunity for Roy Williams and company to sign another of their remaining targets in the 2020 recruiting class.
The most likely of those remaining targets to join the North Carolina basketball program next season is Kerwin Walton, a 4-star shooting guard that recently named the Tar Heels to his list of six finalists.
