Roy Williams and the North Carolina Tar Heels continue to be a strong presence on the recruiting trail this offseason, offering or tracking nearly half of the players ranked within the top-50 of the 247Sports Composite.
The most recent player linked to North Carolina is Lance Ware, a 6-foot-9, 215-pound prospect out of Camden High School in Burlington, New Jersey. Williams and a number of other coaches — Jay Wright and Jim Larranaga to name a couple — were on hand in Philadelphia to watch Ware play at the Philly 2 Live event.
The talented big man has put together a nice spring and summer, showing the kind of skill and improved consistency that is making him a priority for several big name basketball programs including Maryland, Miami, Ohio State and Virginia Tech.
