Roy Williams and the North Carolina Tar Heels are fresh off their first commitment of the 2021 class after receiving a verbal pledge from 4-star small forward Dontrez Styles over the weekend. Not only that, but they’re less than a week away from finding out the college destination of their final recruiting target in the 2020 class.
Kerwin Walton, a 4-star shooting guard from Hopkins, Minnesota, will announce his decision on Saturday. His list of finalists includes Arizona, Creighton, Georgetown, Minnesota, North Carolina and Vanderbilt. Each of his half-dozen potential suitors are hoping to lock down another top-100 recruit to round out their incoming freshman class, but particularly one with the ability to hit long-range shots like Walton can.
