While the MLB world descends on Miami for All-Star Game festivities, a few big names are part of an ownership group ready to lock down a bid for the Marlins.
Former New York Yankees great Derek Jeter has been retired for a few years and now he’s ready for his next venture.
Jeter has put together an ownership group with 15 members to submit a bid to purchase the Miami Marlins from owner Jeffery Loria. The bid is rumored to be for $1.2 billion.
But part of that ownership group features former UNC and Chicago Bulls great Michael Jordan.
