UNC Basketball: Garrison Brooks, Cole Anthony take home ACC honors

While it’s been a disappointing year in Chapel Hill for the North Carolina men’s basketball program, there has been one big bright spot.

The play of forward Garrison Brooks in his junior season at North Carolina has been fantastic and he’s emerged as not only one of the best players on his team but in the entire conference. Brooks finished the season averaging 16.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 53.6 percent from the field.

His uptick in production helped him earn Second-Team All-Atlantic Coast Conference Honors as well as the Most Improved Player, the league announced on Monday morning:

Brooks led the conference in scoring, finished second in rebounding and second in field goal percentage last season.
