Former North Carolina small forward Cameron Johnson has had one heck of a good summer. Just over a month after being selected by the Phoenix Suns with the No. 11 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, Johnson has signed his first endorsement deal as a professional basketball player.
Just a day after his former teammate and fellow Tar Heel Nassir Little signed a multiyear contract with the multinational sportswear and apparel juggernaut, Johnson followed suit with a contract of his own. He announced the news via Instagram post on Saturday afternoon.
Specifics of the deal between Johnson and Nike are yet to be released, but we’ll assume for the time being that it’s a multiyear deal similar to the one Little committed to a day prior.
