The 2019-20 NBA season is officially underway as the league had a few games on Tuesday night to tip things off. With both games being in primetime, the defending NBA Champion Toronto Raptors were able to begin the defense of their title vs. the New Orleans Pelicans with a win.
But it was the late game in Los Angeles where a former Tar Heel had a big night.
The second game of the double-header featured both Los Angeles teams battling it out at the Staples Center as the Clippers hosted the Lakers in primetime. With new additions to both teams, this has been a hyped up matchup throughout the offseason.
