North Carolina men’s basketball concluded its regular season on Saturday night in a 13-point loss to No. 2 Duke. The Tar Heels (20-12, 13-7 ACC) will continue to hunt a resume-boosting win in the conference tournament, as the rivalry defeat more than likely cements North Carolina on the outside looking in of the NCAA Tournament cut line.
In spurts, the Tar Heels have looked the part of a worthy postseason group. That said, the abysmal 11 Quad-1 losses continue to tarnish any potential case to move North Carolina into the field. They currently sit in ESPN’s “First Four Out.
