After the 2024 Diamond Heels went to Omaha, the starting lineup lost five of eight in the field and one of its starting pitchers. UNC used the portal to land Kane Kepley, Tyson Bass, and Sam Angelo, among others, to reload the squad to a national seed and eventual No. 1 national ranking.
Along with those three transfers from last summer, Alex Madera, Jackson Van De Brake, Luke Stevenson, Jake Knapp, Aidan Haugh, and Hunter Stokely have concluded their time in Chapel Hill, due to exhausting eligibility or a likely MLB Draft selection.
