As the North Carolina Tar Heels baseball team prepares for the upcoming 2018 Atlantic Coast Conference tournament, manager Mike Fox picked up a big award on Monday.
The ACC announced some awards Monday afternoon including both team and individual awards from the previous season. Among them was the Coach of the Year honor, given annually to the best coach in the conference.
For the first time in his 20 seasons as manager of the Diamond Heels, Mike Fox has won the conference honor.
Fox was named the 2018 Coach of the Year by the ACC on Monday, capping off a regular season in which the Tar Heels earned the No.
