North Carolina men’s baseball saw its season come to a screeching halt on Sunday afternoon.
After winning seven consecutive ACC series, the ACC Tournament, and the Chapel Hill Regional, a trip to Omaha felt inevitable for one of the better Tar Heel teams in recent memory. UNC dominated in game one of the super regional, looking like a true national title contender. Then, it came crashing down. In the next two games, North Carolina threw away two leads in the seventh and eighth innings, respectively, to conclude the year.
It was a frustrating end for an unbelievably talented squad.
