We are now in the postseason. Remarkably, baseball has been going on since Tuesday in Durham, as the ACC Baseball Championship has been an actual capital-T Tournament with a fair share of upsets. The worst-seeded team, Cal, made a Cinderella run, and the Tar Heels are about to take on another team that has taken advantage of the new format.
Boston College came to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park as the 14th seed out of 16 teams, and yet they’ve managed to get to tonight’s game by beating Notre Dame and then likely ending Virginia’s season very late Wednesday night—or very early Thursday morning, depending on your perspective.
