GREENSBORO – North Carolina sophomore Emma Trenchard and head coach Jenny Levy were among five individuals from three nationally elite programs recognized as Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse season award winners for 2019.
Reigning Tewaaraton Award winner Sam Apuzzo of Boston College was the repeat selection as the ACC Attacker of the Year in a vote of the league's head coaches. Her senior classmate, Dempsey Arsenault, was chosen as the ACC Midfielder of the Year.
Carolina, which claimed its fourth consecutive league title at last weekend's ACC Championship, saw sophomore Trenchard named ACC Defender of the Year, while Levy earned Coach of the Year honors.
