GREENSBORO, N.C. – Three Tar Heels have been named to the 2021 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team for indoor track and field, announced Tuesday by the league. Seniors Anna Keefer and Jill Shippee and sophomore Sydney Banks earned the honor, which takes into account both athletic and academic performance.
Banks, an exercise and sport science major from Woodbridge, Va., was named to the All-ACC Academic Team for the first time in her career. At the 2021 ACC Championship, she placed fourth in the high jump to earn second-team all-conference honors.
