WEST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. – All six UNC boats earned top-10 finishes and four of them medaled in the Tar Heel rowing team’s final day of racing Sunday at the Knecht Cup on Mercer Lake.
“It was an absolutely fantastic weekend for us as a team,” UNC coach Sarah Haney said. “Every boat finished in the top 10, which I’m pretty sure is the best performance we’ve ever had here at Carolina.”
The third varsity eight, which raced twice on Sunday, finished second overall for the Tar Heels’ best showing of the day. UNC finished in 7:06.
