CHAPEL HILL - North Carolina men’s soccer head coach Carlos Somoano announced the signing of nine student-athletes to National Letters of Intent on Wednesday. Carolina will welcome in eight high school seniors and UCSB transfer Drew Murphy to the Tar Heel program. Both College Soccer News and Top Drawer Soccer rank Carolina’s signing class No. 1 in the country.
Murphy along with newcomer Drew Romig entered school in January. All eight seniors are ranked among College Soccer News’ Top 150, including a pair of top 5 players in No. 1 Cam Lindley and No. 5 Mauricio Pineda.
