CHAPEL HILL—The University of North Carolina women's lacrosse team will get a taste of outside competition starting this weekend when it begins its fall exhibition season on Friday against Winthrop.
The Tar Heels will host the Eagles on Friday at 3 p.m. at Finley Field in Chapel Hill. Two weeks later, Carolina will scrimmage Johns Hopkins on Saturday Oct. 10 at Roland Park Country School in Baltimore. The next day on Oct. 11, UNC will visit Loyola.
As part of the festivities for the annual Alumnae Weekend, the program will celebrate the success of the 2015 NCAA finalists at its annual team banquet on Friday evening Oct.
