RALEIGH, N.C. – Coming down to the fifth set and trailing 3-8 at the half-way point, North Carolina fought its way to victory on a pair of five-point runs to defeat NC State, 15-12 in the set, and take the match, 3-2 Wednesday night at Reynolds Coliseum.
After dropping the first set by the minimum, two points, the Tar Heels bounced back to take the second and third sets. UNC held the Wolfpack to a .000 attack percentage in the third set. NC State responded to take the fourth set and take an early lead in the fifth.
