Tar Heels Drop Close Contest At #11 Notre Dame

NOTRE DAME, IND. – The 11-ranked Notre Dame men's lacrosse team went on a five-goal scoring run late in the second quarter and early in the third quarter to take the lead for good, going on to beat North Carolina 12-10 Saturday afternoon before 1,612 fans at Arlotta Stadium.

With the win, the Fighting Irish improved to 7-5 on the season and 2-2 in the ACC. North Carolina fell to 7-6 overall and 1-3 in the ACC.

Both teams will play in the ACC Tournament next week at the new UNC Lacrosse & Soccer Stadium in Chapel Hill.
