CHAPEL HILL—The University of North Carolina men's and women's basketball teams celebrated the start of the 2021-22 season together on Friday night in the return of Late Night in the Smith Center.
Actor, comedian and radio host Brian "B-Daht" McLaughlin was the evening's host and emcee.
The event opened with an introduction to the 2021-22 Tar Heel men's and women's teams, both of which will open the season at home on Nov. 9. After player intros and a video honoring new men's head coach Hubert Davis, both Tar Heel squads showed off their long-range skills in a combined three-point shootout.
