The North Carolina Tar Heels concluded the 2016 fall exhibition season on a high note over the weekend, sweeping doubleheaders against UNCW and East Carolina. UNC topped the Seahawks on the road with back-to-back 4-1 decisions on Saturday, Oct. 15, then closed out the fall campaign with 5-0 and 11-8 victories at home against ECU on Sunday.
“It was exciting to close out the fall with four wins” said head coach Donna J. Papa. “This team has shown a lot of growth during our team practices and exhibition games. In particular, our two freshmen pitchers have shouldered the load this fall.
