DALLAS – North Carolina senior linebacker Chazz Surratt has been placed on the preseason watch list for the 2020 Bronko Nagurski Trophy presented by LendingTree, announced Tuesday by The Football Writers Association of America, in conjunction with the Charlotte Touchdown Club.
The Nagurski Trophy marks the third watch list Surratt has been selected for this month. He is also listed for The Butkus Award (nation's best linebacker) and Chuck Bednarik Award (outstanding defensive player).
The Denver, North Carolina, native was a first team All-ACC selection and finished runner-up for ACC Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2019.
