Chapel Hill – For the 10th consecutive year, supporters of the University of North Carolina baseball program will have the opportunity to kick off the upcoming season with a memorable evening at the Diamond Heels' First Pitch Dinner, schedules for January 27 at the Carolina Club, George Watts Hill Alumni Center.
This year's event will feature 18-year MLB veteran and former No. 1 overall draft pick BJ Surhoff. Surhoff was a two-time All-American at UNC, the 1985 Sporting News Player of the Year and ACC Athlete of the Year and was inducted in to the Baltimore Orioles Hall of Fame in 2007.
