Tar Heel freshman Megan Streicher is 5 under par after Tuesday's second-round 71 and freshman Inez Ng shot even par for the second straight day at the NCAA Pullman Regional at the Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Washington.
The Tar Heels are 11th in the 12-team regional at 13-over 589. The top five teams after Wednesday's third and final round advance to the NCAA Championship in Scottsdale, Ariz., later this month.
Top-ranked Stanford leads at 35-under 541.
