MELBOURNE, Fla. – Following a nearly two hour weather delay, the North Carolina women's golf team sits in 13th place after the first round of the Moon Golf Invite at the Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, Fla.
In a tie with Coastal Carolina, the Tar Heels shot 11-over-par 299 on day one of Louisville's Moon Golf Invite.
Sophomore Kayla Smith led Carolina, finishing one-under-par 71 in 15th place. Smith began the day on the sixth hole with five-straight pars. The sophomore totaled four birdies, including two on her final four holes.
