GREENSBORO, N.C. - Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season champion North Carolina earned two major season awards and placed eight student-athletes – including four first-teamers – on the All-ACC and All-Freshman Women's Soccer Teams announced Thursday.
UNC sophomore forward Alessia Russo was chosen as the ACC Offensive Player of the Year, while Tar Heel coach Anson Dorrance was honored as the ACC Coach of the Year in a vote by the league's head coaches.
Four Tar Heel starters were named first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference - forward Alessia Russo, midfielders Taylor Otto and Brianna Pinto and defender Emily Fox.
