Shalane Flanagan returning to defend NYC Marathon title

Shalane Flanagan says she will return to defend her New York City Marathon title in November. "When I think about running New York, I get a feeling of ecstasy; my stomach turns," Flanagan told The New York Times. Flanagan ran the 2017 New York City Marathon in 2 hours, 26 minutes, 53 seconds to become the first female American to win the race since 1977. (ESPN.com)
