GREENSBORO, N.C. - Three Tar Heels have garnered All-Atlantic Coast Conference volleyball honors and Mabrey Shaffmaster has been named ACC Freshman of the Year, the league announced on Monday afternoon. Graduate student Nia Parker-Robinson, sophomore Kaya Merkler and Shaffmaster were named to the All-ACC second team and Shaffmaster also was tabbed for the ACC All-Freshman Team.
"We are so proud of the accomplishments of our team and these three student-athletes for their contributions this season," UNC coach Joe Sagula said. "Each of them has made an immediate impact this year in their ACC play and how they have helped lead the team with their accomplishments.
