Seven Tar Heels have earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic recognition for outdoor track and field, as announced Thursday by the ACC.
Patrick Anderson, Jesse Hunt and Dolan Owens were named to the men's team. Anna Keefer, Emerson Porter, Jill Shippee and Madison Wiltrout were named to the women's team.
Anderson, a biology major from Pittsburgh, Pa., placed third in the men's 10,000 meters at the ACC Outdoor Championships to earn first-team All-ACC honors as a freshman.
Hunt, an economics major from Perth, Western Australia, qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 1,500 meters and placed 21st there, earning honorable mention All-America honors to go with second-team All-ACC recognition.
