UNC senior Ronnie Schneider reached the finals of the singles consolation bracket at the ITA Men’s All-American Championships before falling Monday in the championship match to USC’s Brandon Holt, 6-3, 6-4. The tournament was played in Tulsa, Okla., at the University of Tulsa.
Schneider began his run through the consolation bracket with a win over George Washington’s Julius Tverijonas in the round of 32. Next was Ohio State’s Martin Joyce in the round of 16 then NC State’s Nick Horton in the quarterfinals. Schneider knocked off Cal’s Andre Coransson 6-4, 6-3 in Sunday’s semifinals to reach the final match.
