Freshman Aaron Sabato was named a third-team D1 Baseball All-American, the site announced Thursday morning. The 2019 ACC Freshman of the Year has earned All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball, Perfect Game and Baseball American while also being named the NCBWA National Freshman Hitter of the Year. Sabato was the only freshman to be selected to any of the D1 Baseball's All-American teams.
A native of Rye Brook, N.Y., Sabato having one of the best freshman seasons in recent Carolina Baseball history. The ACC Freshman of the Year has set the single season freshman home run record with 18 long balls, besting the previous record of 15 set by Chad Flack in 2015.
