On Monday, UNC Chancellor Carol Folt announced her resignation in a letter to the student body. In the letter, she said it was the “privilege of [her] life to serve as chancellor of this great university” and authorized UNC to remove the remainder of the Silent Sam monument at McCorkle Place.
