The Wells Fargo Championship announced that its Pro-Am event on May 5 will be designated as Roy Williams Day. The prestigious PGA TOUR event – held May 3-9 at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, N.C. – honors the recently retired Hall of Fame coach and will feature Roy Williams playing alongside Tar Heel Head Football Coach Mack Brown and two PGA TOUR with connections to Coach Williams – Davis Love III and Gary Woodland.
As a result of this special day, proceeds from tickets sold will be used to assist student-athletes at the University of North Carolina through The Rams Club.
