While the common thought was that Drake Powell would find a home in the NBA, another former Tar Heel that made his way into the Association is RJ Davis. Last night it was announced that he signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Los Angeles Lakers as an undrafted free agent.
For those who may not be familiar, an Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year deal that pays minimum salary and no bonuses. Should the Lakers like what they see during the NBA Summer League, they could decide to sign Davis to a two-way contract, but if not we would expect to see him play for the Lakers’ G-League team throughout the 2025-26 season.
