It was only a matter of time before the work done by the UNC tennis team started to represent at the higher levels of championship tennis. The UNC women’s tennis team has been a consistent NCAA contender, and the men’s team has been strong as well.
Now Rinky Hijikata is starting to get to the top of the tennis world. He already had a Grand Slam win with the 2023 Australian Open Doubles, and now he and his partner David Pal made a run to one of the world’s biggest stages-Centre Court at Wimbledon on the last Saturday.
