CHAPEL HILL - Megan Buckland’s coaching career is on the rise after the announcement came down last week that she has been hired as an assistant coach at Presbyterian College.
Buckland, from High Point, North Carolina, spent the last five years at Carolina - four as a student-athlete and most recently served as the video coordinator last season - with the women’s basketball program.
“She will be tremendously successful because of her passion and love of the game,” said UNC head coach Sylvia Hatchell. “Not many kids can be out of school one year and become a Division I assistant basketball coach.
