North Carolina's Brianna Pinto and Rachel Jones have earned NCAA Division I women's soccer Academic All-America honors, as announced Monday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The honor recognizes outstanding academic and athlete performance over the past year.
Pinto was named to the Academic All-America second team and Jones to the third team. UNC is one five schools nationally and the only one in the Atlantic Coast Conference with multiple honorees.
Both players were starters for the 2020-21 Carolina squad that finished the extended season 18-2 and reached the College Cup.
