GREENSBORO, N.C. – Led by first-team midfielder Mauricio Pineda, North Carolina had three players named to the 2019 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Soccer Team on Wednesday, as voted on by the league's head coaches. Jack Skahan and Jeremy Kelly joined Pineda as All-ACC selections as they were selected as second-team midfielders.
Pineda, a native of Bolingbrooke, Illinois, has been an anchor for the Tar Heel midfield for the last four years and is a Senior CLASS Award Finalist. The senior captain has played in every game during his last four years and has been named to an All-ACC team each season, including a first-team member in 2018.
